Richmond Hill

A hop, skip, and a jump south of Kew Gardens lies Richmond Hill, a comfortable middle-class neighborhood with a plethora of day to day diversions and easy access to Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Island.   Richmond Hill shares many of the same advantages of Kew Gardens: a quiet sense of suburbia, frequent and convenient public transportation to points of interest, as well as close proximity to parks and shopping areas.

Both LaGuardia Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport are fairly close and are easy to travel to and from via bus.  The subway runs along Jamaica Avenue and makes for quick trips to the city and Forest Hills.

Richmond Hill is close to Forest Park, which provides a serene, relaxing alternative to the commotion of a trip to Manhattan.  At the park, one can partake of a variety of activities, including tennis, hiking, horseback riding, and picnicking.  For shopping experiences, one can choose to either attend one of the malls or to wander through Lefferts Boulevard and explore the small shops.  Local markets and restaurants allow one to indulge in a great spectrum of ethnic cuisine.
